Location: Hospitalet de l'Infant
Chasing Blue Fishing Experiences is based in the harbour of Hospitalet de l'Infant, a coastal town on the Costa Daurada in the south-west of Catalonia and just north of the Ebro Delta. With around 4,000 inhabitants, Hospitalet can be considered small and its main economical activity is tourism. Catalan and Spanish are the official languages but at most points of interest you will be able to communicate in English as well.
Its three golden beaches with fine grain sand (doggy beach included) are popular amongst tourists from all over Europe. While not as crowded as Salou or Ibiza, Hospitalet is undoubtedly a place where you won't get bored. A market with fresh vegetables, fruit and clothing is held on the promenade next to the marina every Sunday and during the summer season daily activities are being organised.
The climate is typical for the Mediterranean coast; mild springs with the occasional wind from the north-west and hot summers with a sea breeze.
The marina is located next to the promenade and is home to 15 bars and restaurants, making it an ideal home port for our charter. Right next to our mooring, there are toilet and shower facilities, so you can freshen up straight after you come back from a days fishing. Since 1993, the marina has annually received a Blue Flag for excellence in port environmental management.
In terms of sports, it is renowned for dinghy sailing, cruising, regattas, fishing and for hosting multiple European and global championships.
