With years of experience on the water we knew exactly what type of boat we were looking for when we set up Chasing Blue Fishing Experience. The Wellcraft 25 Scarab, an American center-console style fishing machine, with countless features fit the bill perfectly. The boat can comfortably accommodate 4 anglers and is fast enough to speed to surfacing tuna shoals in just a few seconds. The twin 200 horsepower Suzukis might seem like overkill however when the tuna surface every second counts as we never know how long their feeding frenzies last. Thanks to these engines Nauti Buoy cruises comfortably at 30 knots getting you to the fishing grounds in no time at all. On the way our Garmin xHD2 Open Array radar will pick up on any flocks of birds in an 8 mile radius, ensuring that you won’t miss out on any surface action. The radar is connected to a system of two of the latest oversized Garmin screens, a VHF radio and a multimedia player. Following some of Nauti Buoy's key features:
Garmin xHD2 Open Array Radar
'As far as the eye can see, and beyond.' This high-tech radar is essential for any tuna fisherman. It is able to find flogs of birds, and thus fish, at great distances and will navigate us home in any weather condition.
Suzuki 200 HP Twin Engines
With a top speed of 50 MPH+, these twin 200 Suzukis make Nauti Buoy one of the fastest boats of the fleet. The twin engines ensure we'll always be able to get home safely if one of them would stop to work.
Casting Deck and Padded Cushions
If you have fished on non-padded boat before, you'll recognise the black and blue knees from leaning against the side while fighting a fish or working your lures. This Scarab 25 is fully padded to prevent bruises and improve comfort and has an elevated casting deck for better overview.
Strategically Positioned Rod Holders
Less chaos on the boat to get to your rod. Leave your rod on the front deck and you'll be better prepared for the approaching shoal of fish.
Garmin Oversized Screens and Multimedia System
No more switching between menus and screens; radar, GPS, media player and fish-finder/sounder all visible at the same time so we won't miss out on important information.
